Are you taking part in my 2013 Reading Challenge? It’s not too late to join in; the linky is closed on the original post, but you can always jump in on these monthly progress posts and let us know that you’re participating!
I kind of hoped that I’d read more than the two books I need to to keep on pace for my challenge. Alas, I read exactly two books off my own shelves. I haven’t posted reviews of them both yet, because I read them towards the end of the month and haven’t written them yet! At least I’m on track as far as the reading goes…
If you’re blogging about your progress, feel free to add your post link below – it’ll stay open all month. Or you can leave a comment on the post.
I’ll also add my own post link or comment once I read my books, as well as add them to my “2013 Reading Challenge” shelf in my GoodReads account.
If you’re participating, I’d love to know how you’re doing. Are you on pace to reach your goals by the end of the year?
Reading Challenge Progress Link Up Guidelines:
- The link-up will stay up all month. The next link up will be March 1.
- Link the unique URL of your post, not your blog’s home page. Readers may view link ups months after the fact and you want to make it easy for them to find the relevant post.
- Please include the 2013 Reading Challenge Button (unedited) or mention you’re linking up to the 2013 Reading Challenge at The Deliberate Reader.
- Share your post and read and comment on those who link up.
Update:
There's a problem with the link-up; you can submit links but it's not displaying them. Still trying to get it figured out why it won't show the links. If I can't get it to show the links, I'll edit the post to display them, so go ahead and submit your link.

Well, I picked a number at random and decided I’d read 50 new books this year. So far, I’ve read 11…. I think I aimed too low (not like I’ll stop at 50, though).
Last year I kept upping my goal throughout the year as I realized that it wasn’t challenging enough. I’d rather adjust it as I go than either set it too low so that I don’t push myself, or set it too high and get discouraged by being unable to reach it.
Sounds like you’ll have to adjust yours too.
My goal is 75 books total with at least one book a month fiction…I am definitely on target (incidentally wondering why in the world I wasn’t reading more fiction before…). Posting an update next week so I’ll link up then!
Looking forward to reading your update next week!
My goal is 52 books, a book a week, thus far I’m on track!
Glad to hear you’re on track with reaching your goal! And it sounds like you’re kind of ahead a bit since you’re halfway done with two other books.
(I still have issues commenting on your blog, but I am reading your posts)
This challenge has been more of a challenge than I expected! However, I am on track so far, and just posted my reading report on my blog. And my daughter redesigned my blog for my birthday, so I now have a bookshelf page where I can list all of my reading — that’s motivation for me!
I’m glad to hear that you’re on track, and I’m off to see your redesigned blog. Thanks for updating us!
