I’m becoming a big fan of these readaloud books that immediately turn into readers. I finish reading it to my kids, and my son then takes it and starts over with it, reading it to himself. It’s great practice.
This book is just one is an entire series – I’ve got the Biology set, which includes books on Bacteria, Viruses, Photosynthesis, Food Chains, Cell Life, and Genes, besides this one on the digestive system. We haven’t read all of them yet, but my son loves them so much I went ahead and got him the Natural Disasters set for his birthday: Hurricanes, Volcanoes, and Earthquakes. What more could my boy want? Well, Tornadoes, but they didn’t have a book on those. 😉
Easy to read, entertaining, and informative. I don’t want these to be the only sorts of books my son reads, but I love how much he loves them.
The kids’ verdict:
THIS IS THE BEST.
