Bookish Deals

Black Friday is here and that means all the online deals. I’ve got a few of the best bookish ones to share with you, and I’ll be updating my Deliberate Reader Facebook page with others as I hear about them.

Bookroo Book Subscriptions

I’ve written about them before, but Bookroo provides curated monthly boxes of board or picture books. They would make a fantastic gift, especially since they arrive already wrapped.

This weekend they’ve got a special offer – 25% off any multi-month subscription (3, 8, or 12 months). This is only for new customers, but existing or previous customers may use the code to purchase a gift subscription.

Use the code BFDELIBERATE before midnight PST 11/27 to grab this deal.

Amazon has a $5 off a $20 print book purchase, using the code GIFTBOOK17. Books must be sold and shipped by Amazon. May I suggest a beautful version of Pride & Prejudice or perhaps a gorgeous Bible?

Fire Tablets

Amazon also has some nice Kindle Fire deals going right now – all the Fire tablets are discounted ($29.99 for the 7-inch tablet, $50 for the 8-inch, $99 for the 10-inch, and $70 for the kids edition).

Want a dedicated e-reader instead of a Fire tablet? I love love love my Paperwhite and it’s on sale today too. Giving it as a gift? They’ve got it bundled with cover, power adapter, and ebook credit

Disclosure: Bookroo sent me a free box earlier this month, but I had previously paid for all the boxes I received from them. I was not paid for this post, and am not an affiliate for them. The link just lets them know you heard about their deal through me. The Amazon links are affiliate links, and I do get a small percentage if you buy through my link. Bookish Black Friday Deals

There are some GREAT bookish deals today or throughout the weekend.

Here are the highlights, including the ones I’m taking advantage of. ๐Ÿ™‚

30 percent off any book

Amazon is offering 30% off any one book. I’m debating which book I want to get with this, but I will be buying one. I’m seriously considering the new illustrated Harry Potter – it looks so pretty!

– The 7″ Kindle fire is only $35. I definitely use a tablet for my kiddos at times, so I’m happy to find a second one at this great of a price, and snagged one last night as soon as I saw the deal.

– Want an HD version of the Fire? That’s $30 off, and what I’d pick if I were buying for myself, instead of my kids. ๐Ÿ˜‰

Book Friday 2015 Cover

Usborne is calling today BOOK FRIDAY, and discounting select titles up to 60%. I’ve already put in my order, and if anything looks good to you, don’t delay – things will sell out.

What did I get? The Illustrated Classics for Children, Illustrated Stories of Princes and Princesses, Puzzle-a-Day, Snake and Lizard, and the Quiz Tin and Ludo game. I *really* thought about the Build the Bones: Whale but decided to pass, to avoid the risk of the baby getting into it. I also passed on the See Inside the Universe, but that was a really tough decision – I think my son would love it.

Truth in the Tinsel banner

Truth in the Tinsel is 40% off with the code BLACKFRIDAY. I lovelovelove this Advent devotional for preschool- to elementary-aged children. What I may love just as much as the original devotional are the printable ornaments you can also get. If you are at all wanting to do Advent with your younger children, and you’re not crafty (or you don’t have time even if you want to do all the fun stuff you see on Pinterest), do yourself a favor and get the devotional and printable ornaments. I’m not buying this one, only because I purchased it in the past (and wrote about it previously).

Memoria Press has a set of 4 Advent books available for $45, and that includes free shipping and a free Christmas music CD if you order on Black Friday. I haven’t seen these in person, but they look beautiful. They also arrive individually wrapped, which may save you some time.

Black Friday Sale - 30% off site-wide with code 30FRIDAY15

DaySpring is having a 30% off sale today, using the code 30FRIDAY15. This is on top of their other sales, like the Deal of the Day. (Which isn’t a book today, but it is a really pretty Nativity candle holder – down from $80 to $28 with the extra discount.) They have lots of books and journals, and other items which make lovely gifts.

– The Chemical Free Home is having a Free Shipping offer on all of their items, using the code USGreenFridayShip. I have all three of their booklets on using essential oils in your home and they are FANTASTIC. Highly recommend them all (although book 3 is really targeted towards pregnancy and baby care, so it’s very skippable if that doesn’t describe your season of life). If you shop early enough on Friday, you can also get 10% off with the code GreenFriday10. That code only works from 6 AM until Noon, so don’t delay if you want the books.

Book Riot is having a 30% off sale on all items in their shop. I’m partial to the water bottle, and library card socks. Plus the Jane Austen tote, naturally. ๐Ÿ˜‰

Happy shopping!
